European Footbag Championships is a 3-day event (Friday-Sunday) with a finals night on Saturday. All net events and freestyle finals are played in the main event site, Caribia Arena. It’s the first time Euros are in Finland. The Finnish Footbag Association (FFA) has been around since 1995 and is one of the oldest national footbag associations in the World. FFA has organized World Footbag Championships in 2005 and 2011. The high quality of organization of those events landed Euros 2014 for the Finns.
The history of Euros goes back to 1999 when the first Euros were held in Berlin, Germany. Since Berlin set the standards for a top-notch event and a fierce competition, every Euros host since has tried their best to improve from the previous one. This year is no exception. We’re going out of our way to make sure all the players, fans, sponsors, media and the organizers have a great time in Turku.
